Ambient records work on your computer so your organization can understand how real tasks get done. During the current rollout, the main experience is recording: choose approved capture sources, pause whenever you need privacy, review recent activity, and export selected timelines. Your organization may hide assistant features such as Agents, Skills, or Reports.

The recording workflow

Install from your rollout channel

Use the organization-specific link shared with your team. Public documentation does not contain product download URLs.

Choose what Ambient can record

Grant the requested system permissions and configure capture sources and exclusions in Settings.

Keep the capture card visible

The sidebar shows whether Ambient is capturing, paused, starting, blocked, or waiting for processing.

Review and export

Open Activity to review processed threads. Use Export to save selected recorded timelines as JSONL.
Ambient calibrates during roughly the first 24 hours of accumulated recording time. Paused time, sleep, and time while the app is closed do not count.
